Job Summary:
Third Party Due Diligence is integral to Markem-Imaje and ensures that Markem-Imaje identifies parties with whom it cannot engage in business activities based on set criteria, such as legal requirements or corporate social responsibility concerns.
The person filling this role thrives on vetting Markem-Imaje business partners to ensure the companies operate in full compliance with US/EU and select national export control laws & regulations and the Dover/Markem-Imaje Codes of Conduct.
In this high visibility role, the Assistant Manager Global Compliance is compliance minded paired with business orientation and a high sense of accountability. S(he) can deliver all tasks with accuracy, care and is highly result driven. S(he) works well at all levels of the organization and has a track record at collaborating effectively with internal and external international stakeholders.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Third Party Guidance
As Subject Matter Expert ("SME"), lead and manage the TPG/Third Party Due Diligence process for Business Partners and Suppliers globally with full ownership and oversight covering the end-to-end process of related screening activity: this includes direct entry, handling of alerts, mass uploads; documentation and processing logs; KYC elements and regulatory monitoring; periodic check of supplier spend to monitor correctly capture
Respond with a sense of urgency to changes in restricted party lists; conduct TPG checks to identify Markem-Imaje parties impacted in collaboration with the Regional Trade Compliance Manager ("RTCM"); Director Trade Compliance and Chief Safety & Compliance Officer (CSCO") as appropriate
Enable self, GTC team and business stakeholders through training and coaching
Uphold and maintain high standard and discipline of the end-to-end process; identify and drive best practice
Recognize and address red flags; report and escalate to the RTCM, Director Trade Compliance or CSCO where unsure, including but not limited to any issues or potential violations
Document all release decisions; maintain auditable standards through accurate and complete recordkeeping
Update procedures and work instructions to reflect current handling in line with the requirements
Regularly evaluate and risk assess the process for consistency and robustness; ensure that preventative controls are completed in line with the procedures and drive corrective actions and learning as necessary with the team
Manage workload and ensure continuity of business support
Develop tools and monthly scorecard to provide metrics and monitor performance
Prepare and support internal & external audits, in close collaboration with the RTCM, CSCO and working group
Manage anti-corruption policy globally; including review and approval of requests and training
Globally coordinate and review bi-annual Gift Registry submission to Dover
Manage onboarding and exit of team members according to checklist: update SharePoint security; request system access, oversee completion of standard training elements and deliver general induction training covering the 'need to know' topics to keep the team organized and running smoothly
Key Competencies:
Diligent in following and developing processes in line with the requirements while applying high level of discipline and accuracy in carrying out the restricted party screening and related activity
Basic knowledge and understanding of anti-corruption and corporate social responsibilities requirements, export controls a plus

Qualifications and Experience:
Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Trade, Law or related field/equivalent qualification.
Min. 5 years of compliance or similar background, ideally with experience in third party due diligence and screening in a fast-paced industry.
