OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME
The Office of the Regional Director (RDO) supports the work of the Regional Director, and provides overall leadership and coordination of communications, external relations and partnerships, information products and services. RDO also supports the work of WHO's governing bodies.
The External Relations and Partnerships Unit (ERP) within RDO works in close collaboration with many different parts of the Organization to provide staff with tailored support in order to make the process of mobilizing and managing resources as fast, simple and efficient as possible (from proposal submission, to negotiation and agreement, to reporting to donors on activities). A critical part of this is developing rapport and fostering partnerships with prospective donors/partners, as well as ensuring timely and quality reporting to existing donors/partners. The unit also has a strong role in supporting the Regional Director's communications, and works closely with the Communications Unit and other teams to implement internal communication and other initiatives.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
Under the supervision of the Technical Officer (ERP), the incumbent is responsible for the following functions: * Provide support in strengthening donor and partner relations through the implementation of the WHO Framework of Engagement with Non-State Actors (FENSA). In this regard, assist the FENSA focal point in conducting due diligence and risk assessments on potential partners;
Assist the ERP team and, as needed, RDO in managing donor and partner visits to WPRO;
Support proactive provision of information to donors and partners about the work of WHO donor/partner through targeted communications;
Provide assistance in managing non-State actor (NSA) engagement during sessions of the Regional Committee and with social events organized by Member States;
Liaise with the relevant technical units in consolidating cross-cutting donor report submissions;
Provide general administrative assistance to the team, such as managing shared files and archives; and supporting contracting processes;
Maintain the ERP intranet webpage to ensure that latest ERP forms and information are available to both regional and Country Office staff; and
Perform other duties as and may be required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Essential: Graduation from secondary school with secretarial/administrative training.
Experience
Essential: Five years experience in secretarial/administrative posts, preferably, in a large or an international organization.
Desirable: Experience in WHO administration preferred, including familiarity with the WHO Global Management System (GSM).

-Sound decision making skills, including knowing when to raise issues to supervisors.
-Ability to prepare correspondence, summary of meetings, documentation and notes for the record, etc. Typing skills and ability to take dictation at required speed.

-Good computer skills and ability to adapt to various software applications.

REMUNERATION
WHO offers staff in the General Services category an attractive remuneration package, which for the above position includes an annual net base salary starting at PHP 638,273 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable) and 30 days of annual leave.
