Prepare and maintain all books and records for the assigned properties and/or development deals
Issue monthly financial statements in a timely and accurate manner
Send out all partner and JV reporting and address all inquiries regarding the reporting
Monitor cash positions at the assigned properties
Prepare and submit draw requests
Prepare and monitor debt compliance requirements
Facilitate annual property budgets
Prepare all year-end work papers and help in preparation of corporate tax returns
Work with leasing, asset management and property management in preparing operating budgets and monitoring performance against those budgets
Provide accounting support to other departments
The assistant controller candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience
A minimum of 5 years relevant experience and worked in a real estate company for at least 3 years.
Proficiency in Yardi (Property Management Software) is an advantage
CPA required, strong operational and technical accounting background preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills - internally and externally across all levels
Must have strong knowledge of internal controls, internal & external reporting, audit processes, and tax
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet hard deadlines
Must be able to work in flexible working hours.
