About the job
Reporting to the Business Navigation & Operations Manager, this ASSISTANT MANAGERIAL role is tasked to work together with the Store Management team across different functions in the store to support in steering them towards growth, optimal performance and sustained long term profitability. This role works in an inspiring, supportive and challenging way in line with the IKEA objectives and values by always taking a multidimensional view, considering customer, commercial, people, financial and operational perspectives, taking into account external national influences and global trends.
Your assignment
· You support the Store Business Navigation & Operations Manager in coordinating the Management process. You work together to ensure that the store is steered towards common IKEA objectives, and executes the commercial direction in an efficient and effective way;
· You actively contribute to the development of the store Business Plan, ensuring it is aligned with IKEA global directions, the country's priorities and local potential;
· You proactively work to develop the Scenario Plans based on how the store will take fast action if the performance is better or worse than planned. You ensure these scenarios are well documented, realistic and communicated;
· You are responsible for securing that the costs are in line with goals and to highlight deviations and potentials, in order for the store can take action to achieve the goals;
· You work with your colleagues to analyse benefits, costs and investments and develop business cases. Doing this ensures that the store invests in projects that give a good return on investment, exceeding the customers' expectations, whilst securing long-term profitability;
· You ensure that the rules and guidelines from the IKEA Group Risk Manual and country legislation are implemented and monitored in order to ensure the safety of the coworkers and visitors and that the property is safeguarded.
Qualifications
Your profile
· You have passion for the home furnishing industry;
· You have atleast 3-5 years' relevant leadership experience in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment;
· You have experience in setting and implementing action plans, setting budgets, providing clear directions and following up goals, thereby understanding profit and loss and how to affect result through actions;
· You have proven analytical and numerical skills; strong decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational skills;
· You have good interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with others;
· You have high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel).
Additional Information
This role requires flexibility in work hours, depending on store operational requirements.
Temporary work location will be at the 17th Floor, No. 8 Rockwell Building, Hidalgo Drive, Makati City.
