The Opportunity
Our client is an Australian fund manager with a 15+ year track record of generating strong investment returns for institutional and wholesale clients. They are independently owned with an experienced team of 45 investment professionals focused on healthcare property, property finance and global investments.
They are currently looking for an Assistant Accountant to support the finance team. You will be directly reporting to the Finance Controller onshore and working autonomously with the onshore and offshore teams.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation of bank reconciliations for all client entities
Management of Accounts Payable
Accounts Receivable duties, including raising management fees and fund recharges
Processing accruals, prepayments, and journals
Assistance in maintaining the Fixed Asset Register for the fund accountants
BAS preparation
Support in month-end balance sheet reconciliations for the funds
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
2-3 years of experience as an Accountant in Business Services or funds management.
Excellent numeracy and accounting skills.
Proactive with the ability to work autonomously and minimal guidance.
Proficiency in Excel.
Strong team collaboration skills to support various business areas.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills
