Univanich Carmen Palm Oil Corporation (UCPOC) in North Cotabato Province of Mindanao, is a joint venture between local partners and Univanich Palm Oil PCL of Thailand.
The UCPOC joint venture began in 2014 with the commissioning of North Cotabato's first palm oil crushing mill designed to assist large numbers of small farmers interested to plant oil palms in their family farms. Such has been the success of this pioneering rural development that in 2020, the processing capacity of the UCPOC factory has been doubled to enable annual production of up to 50,000 tonnes of crude palm oil for supply both domestic and international markets.
UCPOC now seeks qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Accountant in North Cotabato Province:
Located in the Carmen Municipality of North Cotabato, the Assistant Accountant will be a key member of the office staff. We are seeking a young professional with a proven understanding of accounting practices and an interest in the administration of a rapidly expanding business.
Reporting to the Senior Accountant, responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant will include:
· Preparation and reporting of domestic and international sales transactions
· Monthly reconciliations of fruit purchases and payments
· Preparation of payrolls
· Maintenance of licences, permits and other statutory reporting
Required qualifications will include:
· A degree in accounting or similar
· 1 -2 years of office experience would be an advantage
· An ability to function well in a team-oriented rural environment
A good standard of secure staff housing will be provided within the UCPOC factory compound in Carmen Municipality.
