We are looking for an Asset Maintenance System Engineer to join our Asset Maintenance Group. We require a talented individual with strong expertise and experience in maintenance management. The position requires producing high quality and timely results based on well-defined processes and standards.
We require an individual with high levels of technical and analytical focus to make quick decisions based on knowledge and experience. The successful candidate will take responsibility for change and innovation in the Company's fleet-wide maintenance standardization initiatives.
The position is responsible for review, verification and reporting of data according to established requirements and is expected to keep updated of progress and new developments within the profession.
Areas of Responsibility:
· Ensuring optimal use of the Asset Maintenance System (AMS)
· Administration of the AMS
· Ensuring that c is kept updated on new regulations relevant to ships managed by Ship Management Department (SMD) and if applicable, with recommendations
· Assisting and participating in project work with focus on fleet-wide maintenance management
· Travel to vessels and/or yard to implement AMS projects and initiatives
· Creation and development of e-learning courses related to AMS
· Audit of vessels in the use of AMS and reporting of deviations to Asset Management Group Manager
Tasks:
The Asset Maintenance System Engineer---
· Develops and implements maintenance plan for ships managed by SMD
· Monitors usage of system, and forwards recommendations and initiatives for proper and more efficient use of the system
· Inputs information into technical accounts suitable for maintenance and purchasing purposes
· Inputs spare part information in the AMS according to company standards
· Assists the IT department during AMS systems upgrade
· Ensures that the AMS system is fully updated and operational onboard each vessel
· Assists vessels on addressing AMS-related matters on their computers and software, as required by SMD
· Reports program and user irregularities/defects to Manager AMG Group
· Maintains and upgrades AMS and associated certificates
· Coordinates improvement initiatives for onshore and onboard operations
· Establishes and maintains standards within maintenance management per guidelines given in SMM and by Manager Planned Maintenance Group
· Facilitates workshops for centralized fleet maintenance methods
· Analyzes and identifies areas for improvement based on key vessel performance aspects
· Cooperates closely with Odfjell Headquarters on the progress of fleet-wide initiatives
· Keeps him/herself updated on new regulations and other developments within his/her field of work and takes initiatives to maintain own competence
· Carries out project work and other tasks within his/her professional field as assigned by Manager Asset Maintenance Group
· Assists in training crew and office personnel in using AMS
· Creates reports and KPIs for AMS
· Performs other tasks as assigned by superior
Bachelor's degree within relevant area, Maintenance Systems or IT
Good knowledge of databases (SQL, ORACLE), reports (Power BI, Cognos) and of production of data and data handling
Excellent English communication skills
Proficiency in using Microsoft tools including MS Word, Excel
Ability to conclude work task on time and within scope
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Associate / Supervisor Architecture and Engineering Transportation 1 opening Bachelor's degree graduate
