The position is responsible to manage the package & development engineering works to establish the assembly process capabilities. Overall responsibilities include, managing of new or transfer of package, products, material, process & equipment from start until fully qualified and initial transfer to low volume manufacturing with robustness and meeting the expected process yield, cycle time and quality of specification. Development & recommendations to improve production processes through introduction of new equipment, new material and/or the implementation of new processes.
Responsible for technical transfer and/or implement of new package/product, new process, new material & new equipment qualification. Manages the development budgets and schedule for the implementation of all approved recommendations
Manages the "prove-in" of new product/package, material, process & equipment for the purpose of qualifying to conform to customer specifications, receive new products and technologies and characterize them by exercising the process characterization through DOE to meet requirement of reliability, quality & yield performance
Act as interface between Manufacturing Process Engineer Teams to communicate problems, required changes, impact yields, cost reduction and new introduction of new package and process technologies.
Manages new or transfer assembly equipment. Reviews, approves and recommendations for modifications of existing or purchase of new equipment to ensure plant's capability and capacity to produce new package or product in conformance with specifications
Manages and implements actions, when necessary to ensure goals are achieved. Ensure quality of engineering work output for all personnel. Maintains an effective organization through recruitment, motivation, training and development of all assigned personnel. Prepares and approves all personnel performance appraisal and recommendations for actions with sound managerial practices
Provide support other department requiring information and technical data of packaging design, process, material and equipment technologies. Provide technical training of new product & technology to all concerns engineering & technician in a manner to achieve yield, cost and quality target
