Client: US healthcare company looking for candidates with experience in AR and Denial Management
Objective: To effectively collect, follow up account receivables, and coordinate payment arrangements of patients from insurance companies
Position: AR Caller / AR Specialist
Type of Work: Full time, permanent (Remote)
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (UTC -5)
The role and responsibilities:
Establish payment arrangements on current and delinquent patient accounts
Review outstanding claims to determine what action needs to take place and make status calls to insurance companies
Request claims to be reprocessed where necessary or prepare and submit corrected claims to the insurance companies for payment
Update demographic and payer related information obtained from the patient
Check eligibility and benefits verification for patient's treatment, hospitalization, and procedures
Work on payment rejections and denials
Research and appeal denied claims
Answer patient calls relating to questions about their bills
Requirements:
At least 2 years of experience in Medical Accounts receivable, collections, and or Denial management
Preferably has experience working on anesthesia or working with healthcare doctors such as Anesthesiologist
Problem-solving skills to research and resolve discrepancies, denials, appeals, collections
Knowledge of insurance guidelines including HMO, Medicare, Medicaid, and other payer requirements and systems
Competent use of computer systems and billing software
Effective communication skills for phone contacts with insurance payers to resolve issues
Customer service skills for interacting with patients regarding medical claims and payments
Ability to work well in a team environment. Being able to triage priorities
Knowledge of medical terminology likely to be encountered in medical claims
Maintain patient confidentiality
Pay Rate: Industry standard applicable to state depending on work of experience and level of expertise.
