Loans Assessment
To assess loan applications from referrers using experience and knowledge to structure deals, balancing lending guidelines to protect company lending portfolio plus meeting targets to write sound profitable business.
Compile complex financial analysis for self-employed and business proposals.
To be the main reference point for the brokers for assessing/discussing loan applications/enquiries.
Play a major role in maintaining and developing the broker relationships
Preparation of submissions to Credit Manager for loans outside own approval authority.
To assess, recommend loan applications without being able to interview the borrower direct (assessing loan applications that are referred direct by the Introducer/broker).
To be sales and credit orientated to meet and exceed company budgeted targets and profitable growth of the lending portfolio.
Sales Management
To proactively contact third party groups soliciting new home loan applications
To actively follow up pre-approved home loans to follow through to full approval and settlement
Use knowledge and judgment to encourage third party groups to meet approval conditions to ensure loan applications follow through to settlement.
Administration
To complete the general administrative functions by maintaining up to date records of loan approvals, declines.
Assist in the development of business plans/targets and changes in work processes.
Follow through loan approvals to pre-settlement and ensure loan conditions are met.
Bachelor's/College Degree in Finance or any Business-related course are most desirable
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking
Experience
Preferably 1-4 years' experienced employee specializing in Banking/Financial Services or equivalent
Experience in the finance industry or Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) is an advantage
Demonstrated ability to assess, recommend and approve complex residential applications (self-employed, SMSF, company)
Skills (Management skills, Communication skills etc.)
Fluent in both spoken and written English
Credit Assessment Skill
Ability to read and understand and analyze financial reports.
Knowledge of Securities
Basic Accounting Knowledge to assess profit and loss statements
Adaptability, Analysis/Problem-Solving Skills, Initiative, Integrity, Judgment, and Motivational fit.
Persuasiveness / sales ability, practical learning, negotiation, organizational awareness
Quality orientation / attention to detail
Ability to work successfully in a team environment.
An ability to work closely with all stakeholders including valuers, mortgage insurers and Introducers to maintain prompt turnaround.
