Role Purpose
This is an entry level role, expected to contribute under supervision of more senior team members to the development (or maintenance) of applications that fulfil customer expectations from both a technical and business benefit perspective.
Key Accountabilities
Undertakes basic work activities such as coding and testing work set by team leader working with supervision and guidance from more senior colleagues to contribute to the customer solution.
Produces straight forward solution components from low level designs using appropriate methods, tools and applications to develop customer solutions.
Seeks guidance from more experienced team members when out of the ordinary situations arise
Prepares documentation on code specification, customer requirements or project or quality plans. Ensure the documentation is maintained and any changes are included in the final documentation set.
Plans schedules and monitors own work (within short time horizon) to ensure tasks are approached in a well-organized and methodical way.
Works according to standard methods and tools, programming work packages as specified using conformance, acceptance and testing processes as required.
Seeks an understanding of the customer's business and processes, and inputs to the considerations of the optimal solution.
Communicates and works effectively with colleagues and customers.
Works according to the project plan and in consideration of milestones, escalating any deviations.
Responsibilities:
Bootcamp training in different technologies (like Java). With possible project immersion.
Programming and Testing (in Java or other programming language as needed in projects)
Modernization / Migration Tasks
Software or Technical documentation
Any other tasks as requested by the manager or client
Key Performance Indicators
Successful design of small size components.
Work is delivered to agreed timescales.
Issues are notified in a timely manner.
Contributes to the production, maintenance and/or testing of maintainable solutions with a low density of defects.
Meets Service Level Agreement requirements for customer on problems resolved.
Is able to provide evidence of clear and concise communication.
Evidence that Corporate and local development methodologies have been followed.
An up to date Personal Development Plan is in place.
