Broadridge is growing. We are seeking Application Support Engineer to join our team! This role is in our Global Technologies and Operations Division, which is a world leader in financial technology that produces and supports a host of digital platforms and software products. In this role, you will monitor and support Data Analytics services used to run and support Broadridge Trading and Connectivity Solutions products. You will also provide level 2 incident management, automation and application support for this product.
We are made up of high-performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered hybrid, which means you'll be assigned to a Broadridge office and given the flexibility to work remotely.
Responsibilities:
Production Support/ Application Troubleshooting
Performs deep investigation and analyze logs for incidents escalated to the team
Perform query to the database and troubleshoot database related latency, deadlocks, indexes, and resource utilization problems
Performs deployment of new releases/upgrades for Data Analytics Product
Documents operational procedures
Support for weekend maintenance activities
Create/Automate tools that will make the operation better and satisfy the needs of customers
Your profile:
4 to 6 years of experience in application support
Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ethical decision making
Ability to work in a team environment with emphasis on collaboration with both clients and other internal service teams.
Ability to perform and thrive in a high pressure environment
Flexible to work on any shift (APAC, EU or US hours)
Bachelor's Degree majoring in either computer engineering, computer science or information technology
Required skills:
Linux commands
Shell Scripting experience
SQL Query
Oracle DB usage, Table creation and Table Index (nice to have)
SQL Loader experience (nice to have)
Elastic Logstash and Filebeat (nice to have)
