Assisting in the development and implementation of service delivery strategies, policies, and procedures.
Responsibilities
High-Quality Software Applications: an Application and Service Engineer is to co-design and deliver high-quality software applications that meet the client's requirements and provide a seamless user experience. This includes , conducting thorough testing, and ensuring that the application is robust, secure, and scalable. The application should meet the specified functionality, performance, and reliability criteria.
Effective Service Integration: Many projects involve integrating applications with other systems, databases, or third-party APIs to facilitate data exchange and enhance the application's functionality. The Application and Service Engineer must ensure that the service integration is seamless, well-documented, and meets the required security and data integrity standards. Delivering effective service integration ensures that the application can interact with other components and services efficiently.
Timely Support and Issue Resolution: Once the application is deployed and in use, the Application and Service Engineer's role includes providing timely support and resolving any issues that arise. This includes promptly addressing client inquiries, diagnosing and fixing bugs, and ensuring the application's smooth operation. Delivering timely support and issue resolution helps maintain client satisfaction and minimizes disruptions to business operations.
Supporting the management of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and ensuring service targets are met.
Coordinating with internal teams and stakeholders to address service issues and ensure timely incident and problem resolution.
Assisting in the management of change requests, ensuring proper evaluation, approval, and implementation of changes.
Assisting in the preparation of service delivery reports, analyzing performance metrics, and identifying areas for improvement.
Requirements
Must Have:
At least 5-10 years of experience as a senior service delivery manager, with relevant experience in development and implementation of service delivery strategies, policies, and procedures.
Must be a bachelor's degree holder in a relevant field such as business administration, information technology, or a related discipline.
Strong leadership and management abilities are essential. This includes skills in team building, performance management, conflict resolution, and the ability to motivate and inspire others.
Solid understanding of the technologies and systems used in the organization's service delivery operations is important. This may include knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud services, networking, software development methodologies, and other relevant technical areas.
Familiarity with service management frameworks such as ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) is often required. ITIL provides best practices for managing IT services and aligning them with business objectives.
Knowledge in the Cloud technology
Nice to Have:
Certifications in any of the following: ITIL 4 Managing Professional (MP), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Service Delivery Professional (CSDP), Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT)
