MISSION / JOB PURPOSE:
Support and perform AS400 level 1 application activities in AXA Group Operations at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The incumbent is responsible for providing application services support to AS400 business applications.
The role is expected to perform tactical and operational management for AS400 application services with relation to vendor management, governance and tracking of production services, implement tools and/or improvements to be used in the production systems to ensure the established policies and guidelines are adhered to when providing excellent customer service and experience. The position is held responsible for the quality of service delivered throughout Service Management lifecycle in Service Transition, Service Operation, and Continual Service Improvement stages.
This role is required to participate in DR Drills during out of office hours and weekends which happens twice a year.
KEY OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Operational Services
Perform the AS400 L1 application support services for day to day IT operations, projects and continuous improvement activities.
The list of application services activities are as follows:
Application Standard File Patching/data extraction with low risks and well-defined steps
User enquiry on AS400 applications based on FAQs
AS400 ticket resolution based on KEDB
Ticket quality tracking and operational reporting
AS400 user access management (Privilege User Request) and password reset
AS400 application monitoring and housekeeping
AS400 system heath check, housekeeping, license tracking and IPLs
Assist OT scheduling and forecast for Offline processing
Project workstream member/assignee within Application Services Projects
Participate in Disaster Recovery Plan and Audit exercises
Monitor and track all aspects of application maintenance & operations and meeting or exceeding established SLA's and KPI's
Execute continuous improvement for level 1 support activities and develop automation tools for operational enhancement
Analyze, prepare and present progress reporting to ensure customers are informed and the management is updated on production issues.
Collaboration/Relationship Building
Collaborate with IT and entities to ensure meeting customer satisfaction and business needs.
Provide value-added advice and recommend best-fit solutions to ensure customers satisfaction
Meet user expectations to provide day-to-day quality production services
Liaise with different parties and teams to provide quality system support
Establish and maintain KEDB based on knowledge transfer from project and resolution from L2/L3 support
Qualifications
SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS
Degree in Computer Science or related fields
Minimum of 5 years' production support experience on AS400 platforms, IT solution delivery and Service Management, preferably in financial or insurance industries
System delivery and maintenance experience in AS400, UNIX, Linux and/or Windows platforms with collaboration with other technology domains
Experience implementing ITIL or other industry standards for service management/ process improvement
ITIL Foundations Certification is preferred
Well organized and results-driven individual and demonstrated ability to create strong working relationships with others
Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and experience
A proven track record of developing, implementing and maintaining systems
Working experience in Asia countries, with understandings of the country characteristics, cultures and work style, is an advantage
Knowledge of General/Life Insurance products, processes and solutions, is an advantage.
