Overview
We are looking for an experienced Application Development & Support Engineer to join our team in enhancing and operating our business applications and custom integrations. You will be responsible for enhancing the day-to-day business processes through digital automations, developing new integrations to meet the specific needs of our business stakeholders, and providing ongoing application support.
You will be working with our central business architecture and application team to turn business requirements into feasible digital solutions for streamlining operations of our investment, finance, risk, and technology teams.
Your expertise will contribute to the overall digital transformation initiative across a wide range of internal and external applications across front-end, back-end, middleware, and data.

Your Responsibilities
Application Development: Design, develop tactical internal applications and solutions to address business needs for streamlining operations. Eg, reducing data entry repetition, sharing information to downstream applications, automate generation of office documents (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Application types include Desktop App, Web App, API services.
Application Support: Troubleshoot and support user issues with internally developed or integrated applications. Perform root cause analysis, problem solving, solution proposal, implementation, and deliver fix.
Integration Development: Design, build, and implement integration solutions to connect different off the shelf financial applications (SaaS and On-premise) to enable business automation.
Database Development: Design database schema, stored procedures, for use by applications.
DevOps: Assist with setup and enhancements of DevOps automation including CI/CD to cloud and On-premises services.
Your Background
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
3+ years relevant experience as an application developer / application support engineer
1+ years in Financial Services industry (bank / fund house / asset management preferred)
Proven experience as an analyst or similar role
Strong with coding backend in C# / Python / Java
Proficiency in application development, engineering principles and best practices
Experience with front end stack like JavaScript / React / NodeJS
Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS
Experience in using VS Code, GIT, Windows, Linux
Desire to learn and understand the business
Flexible with strategic mindset and focus on delivering quality solutions
