Here's where you come in:
As the Application Developer, you will work on multiple small to large, complex projects as a team member, sometimes as a project lead. Individuals working as an Application Developer require increased skill in multiple technical environments and possess knowledge of a specific business area. You will focus on developing solutions that support the Global Finance Solutions (GFS) needs and drive business efficiency, accuracy and productivity.
You will work closely with GFS customers, business analysts and team members, and with World Vision's IT department to understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. You will be involved in the full systems life cycle and therefore are responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing and supporting application software that is delivered on time and within budget. Responsibilities beyond development of software may include participation in component and data architecture design, technology planning, product evaluation, advanced testing processes and buy vs. build recommendations. You will also provide input to project plans related to the systems and technologies adopted by or are being considered by GFS.
Requirements include:
Bachelor's degree in Programming/Systems, Computer Science, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
Typically requires 3 - 5 years of programming experience with at least 2 years of that experience in advanced programming techniques and application design.
At least 2-3 years of experience in technical end user support.
At least 2-3 years of experience in development life cycle of systems and technologies
Strong technical skills and experience in Microsoft 365 and especially the Power Suite (Power Apps, Power Automate, PowerBI)
Fluent in written and verbal communication in English
