Your Role and Responsibilities
Possess hands-on development experience and SME on Containers, Kubernetes and Virtualization technologies using OpenShift, VMWare, OpenStack, RHV, CloudVM and VM infrastructure modernization.
Experiences in migrating VMWare and Virtualized environments to cloud platforms leveraging Kubernetes.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
2-4 years of relevant technology experience
Very good understanding of fundamentals of containers and Kubernetes platform.
Must have hands on experience in setting up and configuring Kubernetes platform.
Experience working with Red Hat OpenShift preferable.
Experience in developing deployment scripts for Kubernetes based micro-services
Practical experience of implementing end to end Continuous Integration/Delivery solutions in Kubernetes environment.
Experience in authoring build scripts with Jenkins or Travis or Tekton.
Experience with problem determination, root cause analysis and debugging in Kubernetes/OpenShift environment
Good experience working with tools like Git.
Experience creating automation using scripts (shell/perl/python etc) and using tools like ansible/Chef/Puppet.
Experience in delivering projects using Agile methods and tools such as Jira.
Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills.
Must have an engineering mindset in addressing problems.
Experience working and doing basic administration in Unix/Linux environments.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Zeal to learn quickly and adapt to changing requirements.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Knowledge of cloud native design patterns, processes, and best practices.
Good knowledge on full stack monitoring including log monitoring.
Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and using Terraform for as infra as code setup.
Knowledge of Container and Kubernetes security tools.
Experience working in Banking Industry.
Candidate must be amenable to work in any of IBM locations (Eastwood and/or UP Ayala Technohub, Commonwealth) and client site (Makati).
Should be open to work on a client dictated shift (day, mid, night)
