Job Summary
The API Developer is responsible for developing API code on whether from scratch or within the IPaaS platform that SCGC will use.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Works with the PMO team to architect and support both cloud GCP and OCI and On-Premise integration and error reporting solutions
Works with SQL Server and related technologies to allow the creation of and the support of data migrations and transformations
Designs and configure solutions with the Integration team using GCP cloud technologies and appropriate leading-edge technologies such as elastic search and cloud transformation tools such as Workato, Jitterbit or Apigee
Creates, maintains and conducts versioning of API's in the GCP management layer
Examines and uses current transformation technologies such as XML, JSON, CSV and SQL
Aids and supports the System Administrator and Senior Developer to version and support modern ETL systems using cloud based tools and connectors
Prepares and architects systems to provide data to partners, portals and websites using technologies such as GCP cloud search and inbound APIs
Creates error logging, generates report solutions and delivers to solution providers and within PMO
Prepares required documentation and reports.
Job Specifications
University Graduate on IT or any related sciences
With 5 years and up of solid experience 4+ years of experience in a similar role
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Substantial experience in Integration and transformation experience
Knowledge of writing complex and efficient SQL for relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server is essential.
Experience of modern API technologies
Experience of providing and maintaining transformations and APIs for solution providers and customers
Experience of architecting transformation and connectivity solutions using 3rd party tools
Experience with SQL, XML, JSON and CSV
Strong knowledge of API development
Strong knowledge of the java frameworks (Spring MVC, Spring Security)
Strong knowledge of UI development (JSP, HTML, CSS, Ajax, XML)
Strong knowledge of web services (WSDL Soap, Restful)
Proficient and hands on with Application Servers (Tomcat, JBoss, etc)
Good knowledge of relation database, specifically Oracle (SQL - PL/SQL)
Technical expertise in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of software.
Strong written and spoken communication skills with the ability to make occasional presentations
Ability to work alone with minimal supervision.
Ability to work in a fast-moving environment.
Good attention to detail.
Consistently displays a positive approach to the working environment.
