Job Description :
Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) provides oversight on financial activities and controls including general accounting, management and external reporting and financial planning and analysis. The FP&A organization is responsible for the interpretation of financial and statutory data, the coordination and management of financial and statutory reporting, the management of the P&L and balance sheet delivering solutions that will increase insight and transparency. Responsibilities also include ensuring there is a true and fair representation of business performance at the cut-off point for the period and transparency on financials and ESG KPIs for Business Performance Management
Purpose of role:
The APAC FP&A Leader is responsible for managing and executing the performance management agenda through development of a robust annual plan, reinforced by a monthly rhythm of analysis to deliver timely information and insight to enable the organization to make high quality decisions which drive peer group leading performance. The role also includes full responsibility to account for, track and manage the region's Market's Advertisement & Promotions budget, through close interaction with the marketing and commercial teams. Leads a team of 30+ FP&A professionals for different Markets within the APAC region through people managers.
Regular functional & operational engagement with the Regional Finance Director and other cross-functional departments & Leaders of the organization will be an integral part of this role.
Critical Finance Capabilities:
Commercial Acumen: understand the whole business operation in detail and is able to see connections across departments to see the big picture. Aware of competitors for existing core business. Recognizes key trends and industry characteristics.
Robust Functional knowledge about FP&A processes to suggest fundamental and dynamic ways of interpreting the data
Working knowledge of Advertisement & Promotions accounting and analysis of effective spend and tracking of the allocated budget
Strong collaboration with different departments to create value adding insights
Support decision making - ability to understand the levers to drive efficient growth & make the right business decision based on data, analysis and the wider business context.
Coach & Guide FP&A team to achieve business results and build capabilities.
Systems tools & technologies - ability to implement world class tools & the latest technologies to execute processes and analyse data.
Finance processes - ability to understand and execute relevant finance processes and drive simplification/automation agenda
Key stakeholders to manage:
Vice presidents, Directors & Managers of different Markets (Commercial, Supply, Marketing etc) - collaborate on execution of BPM processes and building BPM capability as well as ESG reporting
Finance business partners - collaboration on design and delivery of global BPM operating model.
Governance & change - leading delivery of change initiatives / improvements
HR - collaboration to harness the full extent of Diageo's talent and diversity

Leverage data to deliver insights for the APAC region

Make a difference to the business as a member of the Finance LT
Keep up to date with external trends and practices
Develop a high performing, motivated team across a wide range of roles
Forge strong links with the people agenda across Group and GBO finance teams to understand future talent pipelines and development opportunities to raise the bar continuously
Ensure sufficient stretch in goals, hold others to account for high performance

Authority and Decision Making
Accurate and optimal monthly P/L & B/S management decisions
Prioritisation of crucial risk and action plans to manage compliance and controls issues for in-scope activities
Qualifications and Experience Required
CA/CMA/MBA (Tier 2 schools), bachelor's in finance/Marketing/Business Required
At least 18-20 years working experience within Management Reporting, Business Controlling, FP&A area at a multinational environment
Experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment
Proven ability to impact and influence, at a senior stakeholder level, virtually across markets with solid networking, influencing & communication skills.
Excellent written/verbal English knowledge
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Hard working personality, flexibility, inquisitiveness, proactivity
Experience with SAP, data warehouse, advanced analytics and data visualization tools
