About the role
Cardno ID is seeking an AP/AR Officer to join our International Development Asia Pacific Finance team in Manila.
Reporting to the ID AP Accountant in Manila, this role will support the recording and retrieving of financial details of the company, including maintaining financial records, processing payments, cash handling, and general housekeeping.
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
Accounts Receivable
Apply payments from clients in the bank account to invoices in BST accounting system
Follow up with Debtors on payment of their account proactively and as requested by Project Managers, to ensure overdue payments are kept to a minimum.
Research and resolve payment discrepancies
Generate and mail Debtors Statements
Maintain Debtor database in BST
File and archive Debtor paperwork
Accounts Payable
Review and verify invoices
Process paperwork and invoices into system against projects and general accounts
Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments for AUD, GBP and other foreign currency creditors
Reconcile cash advances and expense claims.
Reconcile invoices to the supplier statements every month and resolve payment enquiries and general enquiries from suppliers.
Maintain the Creditor database in BST
Maintain bank account details and payment terms of creditors
File and archive Creditor paperwork.
Process Supplier Credit Applications.
Other Duties
Process AP and AR journals through the BST system
Manage company credit cards
Assist with month end GL closing i.e. bank reconciliations
Assist with half and end of year audit queries
Assist the Finance Manager in ad hoc duties as required

About you
The successful candidate will possess a 2 or 3 years of proven and demonstrated experience with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable and a tertiary qualification in Accounting and/or relevant degree. Further, your experience and selection criteria should also include:
Experience with posting journals
Experience with making foreign currency payments favorable
Knowledge of large ERP systems, experience with BST advantageous.
Intermediate level of Excel and proficient with other MS Office programs
Excellent organization and time management skills.
High level of interpersonal skills.
Strong Attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong analytical skills
Ability to meet deadlines
