ROLE:
This professional will join Manila Finance team and will be a member of Global Financial Controls team. Analyst is responsible for conducting and documenting complex SOX404/SOC1 control testing. The role is a direct report to a Team Lead, and is responsible for completing the control testing in accordance with timeframes, and department policies and standards. Additionally, the successful professional is expected to identify and communicate process improvement opportunities and will be required to perform research and analysis as issues arise.
MAJOR DUTIES:
Conduct and document Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) 404/Service Organization Control (SOC) testing and conclusions by understanding the key risks and controls within the function being reviewed.
Develops and executes test steps, documents results and evaluates results to assess the quality of controls and/or control environment
Responsible for staying current on regulatory rules and changes within the industry
Participates in meetings with business unit to discuss testing results
Communicates with partners at all levels, developing and presenting recommendations on operations and controls for the business unit
Utilizes understanding of various Corporate units to ensure operations, services, and systems have proper controls in place (i.e., design of the control environment)
Evaluates corporate management, business processes, business controls and operating practices during testing engagements
Applies analytical skills to review information and determine potential control weaknesses
Completes and compiles a high quality summary of findings and recommendations for review in a concise and professional manner
Develops a thorough understanding of the Northern Trust SOX Methodology and adheres to all applicable Department Standards
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Experience in performing audit of IT general and application controls
Knowledgeable of SOX and SOC Reports is preferred
Analytical and organizational skills are necessary to conduct audits
Report writing and workpaper documentation skills
Good communication skills in English
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor of Science in Accountancy with 3-6 years of minimum relevant experience.
WORK SCHEDULE:
4 PM TO 1 AM Mondays to Fridays
