Job Description
Position Overview
The Analyst - Global Trade Content will research and document laws and regulations and their potential impact on products (e.g. tax returns, etc). S/he will research and respond to client inquiries, and prioritize and assess risk for correspondence and assessments. S/he will be the initial and primary contact for internal and external customers/clients and will be responsible for updating documentation.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the accurate compilation and in-depth understanding of Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HS) Tariff with a focus on sourcing, verification, conversion, and quality assurance.
Research Global Trade Content for various countries from authorized government websites.
The trade content includes HS, import-export duties, documents required to be filed while paying various duties, trade compliance, licensing requirements including procedures and documents required to obtain those licenses.
Interpret and convert government legislation related to global trade into standard format/software compatible format before loading in the system.
Daily track regulatory and monitor changes from government websites for assigned tariffs with timely updates.
Seek opportunities to grow regulatory data for assigned tariffs.
Document the processes and work instructions.
Qualifications
Knowledge of HS and Customs regulations.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent command of English.
Strong analytical and interpretation skills.
Proficient in MS Excel.
Strong focus on delivery, including attention to detail.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while at the same time fully participating in a remote and global team environment.
Bachelor's degree in any field required.
Open to fresh graduates.
