POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director of Global Compliance and Ethics, this position will be contributing to the day-to-day operations of the Global Compliance and Ethics Program. This role will provide assistance with the design, coordination, and administration of various ethics and compliance programs, processes, reporting requirements, approaches and training needed to support the organization. This position will have considerable interaction with all management levels.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain day-to-day oversight of the Companys AWARE Hotline program, including AWARE Hotline report submissions, the ethics email inbox and policy and procedural inquiries.
Supervise personnel responsible for the inputting of ethics and non-ethics reports and perform routine quality assurance checks for accuracy.
Partner with respective departments in the execution of investigations, identify areas of improvement and provide guidance to investigators on best practices.
Communicate findings and issues including preparation of memoranda to document compliance inquiries and investigations.
Conduct independent review and evaluation of investigations to ensure that compliance concerns/inquiries are being appropriately evaluated, investigated and resolved.
Provide training related to the AWARE hotline program and case management system, including system changes and upgrades.
Track and analyze data related to incoming reports of company breaches of policy and develop processes to proactively address areas of improvement
Create quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports identifying trends to be reported to management.
Execute, monitor and test compliance-related controls and coordinate remediation of audit findings.
Assist with third-party due diligence process and review of screening alerts.
Assist with roll out of ethics training, certification, and culture survey and perform data analytics.
Develop training presentations and conduct training on the Companys Code and policies.
Plan and execute departmental projects and initiatives such as Ethics Week, award submissions and other awareness campaigns.
Develop and publish communications and materials, such as newsletters, posters and toolkits, to promote adherence to the Companys Code, policies and applicable laws and regulations.
Support policy development, including benchmarking and updating the Companys Code and policies.
Maintain and update the compliance sections on the Companys intranet
Build out and maintain holding library to house global and departmental policies and procedures.
Prepare memoranda, periodic reports and presentations on compliance and ethics matters.
Assist with maintenance of compliance records.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree required from an accredited university. Masters degree or other advanced degree preferred.
Minimum 3+ years of overall relevant experience. Compliance, legal and/or regulatory background preferred.
Experience with global/international operations/organization will be considered a plus.
Limited travel, but must be able to travel up to 10% of the time, including trips abroad.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Able to prioritize and organize projects and to work independently.
Able to perform research and analyze corporate policies and applicable laws, rules and regulations.
Able to train small and large groups.
Able to interact effectively with various levels of management.
Able to write reports that conform to prescribed style and format and prepare routine and advanced correspondence
Self-motivated, adaptive, proactive, quick learner, and work well with others with minimum supervision, in a fast paced dynamic environment.
Strong technical, analytic, and problem solving skills.
Strong communication and inter-personal skills and excellent writing abilities.
Highly skilled in all MS Office applications, particularly Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Advanced Excel skills (v-lookup, pivot tables, etc.) are required.
Detail oriented and good spelling and proofreading skills.

The employee may move about the office complex, may travel to other office locations and may lift, push, pull or move 10-15 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to walk to the dock, ascend and descend the vessel. This position may regularly travel domestically or internationally. Visual requirement include distant, close and color vision, and ability to adjust focus

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job. The environment includes work inside/outside the office, travel to other offices, possibly travel domestic and international, and work in shipboard functions. A high noise level is possible if visiting shipboard or offsite locations
