Team Overview
Financial Control in Nomura rolls into the AEJ Finance organisation.. Financial Control is responsible to maintain a proper accounting and internal control system in compliance with the Regulatory Authorities, accounting standards and the company's policies and procedures to provide accurate, timely and reliable financial reporting to authorities, shareholders and management.
Role Overview
The role will be primarily responsible for local financial reporting of an entity including payment and administration, tax reporting, preparation of financial statements and also involved in providing financial data to the Head Office for group reporting. This includes interaction with external accounting firms, Financial Control of Head Office and affiliates.
Responsibilities
• Daily and monthly posting of transactions
• Preparation of check payments plus applicable taxes
• Process payments and administration of financial matters including monitoring and control. All disbursements should be within Nomura policies.
• Preparation of financial reports (local and regional)
• Responsible for the preparation and submission of reportorial requirements of government agencies such as but not limited to the Bureau of Internal Revenue, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), etc.
• Liaise with Head-office for group reporting
• Works with the external auditors for the preparation and submission of Audited Financial Statements
• Acts as admin support
• Participate in the regional projects
Requirements
• University Graduate. Qualified Accountants is preferable. Accounting graduate. Preferably CPA.
• 3 years' of relevant experience
• Strong background in accounting and corporate taxation
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Good numerical sense
• Able to work independently to complete full set of accounts
• Native level English capability
