Job Description
In-depth knowledge of international and national airfield standards, including those set by ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization and other relevant authorities
Understanding of the technical specifications for airfield infrastructure, including runways, taxiways, aprons, lighting systems, markings, and signage
Knowledge of airfield pavement design, construction, and maintenance standards, including materials, structural integrity, and load-bearing capacity
Familiarity with safety management principles as they apply to airfield operations, including risk assessment and safety performance metrics
Awareness of environmental regulations and sustainability practices related to airfield operations, such as wildlife management, pollution control, and energy efficiency
Expertise in ensuring that all aspects of airfield design, construction, and operations comply with relevant aviation standards and regulations
Ability to provide expert advice on airfield design, construction, and maintenance, ensuring alignment with the latest standards and best practices
Proficiency in conducting audits and inspections of airfield facilities to ensure compliance with established standards and identify areas for improvement
Experience in participating in or leading the development of new or revised airfield standards, including collaboration with regulatory bodies and industry groups
Skills in developing and delivering training programs on airfield standards, regulations, and best practices to airport staff and stakeholders
Expertise in supporting airfield projects from a standards perspective, ensuring that all designs, materials, and construction methods meet or exceed regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
A minimum of 7 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be a Bachelor's / College Degree holder in Engineering(Aviation/Aeronautics/Astronautics); Engineering(Civil) or similar fields.
Male applicants are preferred for this role.
Bachelor's Degree: Aeronautical Engineering, Civil Engineering
Experience in airfield operations, design, or maintenance.
At least three years of this experience at Airports
Professional Certifications are advantage: Certified Member (C.M.), ICAO Airport Planning and Design Certificate, Pavement Management Certification, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor
