Responsibilities Installation: Install and set up air conditioning and refrigeration systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Testing And Calibration Test and calibrate thermostats, controls, and other system components to ensure accurate and efficient operation. Verify the accuracy of temperature and pressure readings. Customer Interaction Communicate with clients to understand their air conditioning needs and provide appropriate solutions. Document equipment specifications, repairs, and replacements. Requirements Education and Training: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a technical or vocational training program in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) or a related field. Certifications Relevant certifications such as EPA 608 Certification for handling refrigerants. Experience Previous experience as an air conditioning technician is often preferred. Technical Skills Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing air conditioning systems. Knowledge of electrical systems, refrigeration cycles, and HVAC principles.
