Gatekeeper to access and security of all Telecommunications systems. Research, development, design, implementation, monitoring, and ongoing administration and support of evolving IP/Analog PBX and voicemail infrastructure, including on-site systems and remote access. Ensure adequacy and/or software, hardware, disk space, licenses, etc., for Telecommunications systems and document, as needed; provide cost analysis and/or functional advantage for upgrades, etc. Support and maintain call routing, conference bridges, video bridges, and call quality control. Monitor BRI/PRI/T1 capacity and adjust and plan accordingly. Application and design of adjunct communication systems, including video, audio, cellular, wireless, and PDAs to offices and workforce. Support and manage existing video conference equipment and explore integration with telephony, messaging, etc. Liaison between Telecommunications and other SI groups, especially with regard to telephony and network LAN/WAN infrastructure. Requirements 3+ years of proven work experience as a Network-Voice Engineer 3+ years experience installing, operating, and maintaining Nortel and Avaya IPPBX for small to medium businesse BS degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related technical field. In-depth knowledge of call routing, conference bridges, video bridges, and call quality control. Knowledge of Data communications, IP and Network management, and monitoring tools. Basic networking knowledge, LAN switching, and routing.
