Key Responsibilities:
Logistics Management: a. Coordinate and oversee the transportation of goods and materials, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. b. Develop and maintain relationships with transportation providers and suppliers. c. Monitor and analyze logistics-related data to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
Administrative Support: a. Manage and maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and deliveries. b. Assist in preparing and distributing logistics-related reports, presentations, and documents. c. Provide administrative support to the logistics team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
Order Processing and Inventory Management: a. Process purchase orders, manage supplier relationships, and ensure timely delivery of goods and materials. b. Maintain accurate inventory levels, updating records as needed and alerting relevant stakeholders of any discrepancies. c. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth inventory management and minimize stock-outs
Customer Service and Liaison: a. Serve as a point of contact for customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders regarding logistics-related inquiries. b. Respond promptly to inquiries and address concerns, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Continuous Improvement: a. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance logistics operations. b. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative roles, with a focus on logistics or supply chain management.
Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly in Excel and Word.
Knowledge of logistics processes, transportation methods, and industry-specific terminology.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work effectively with diverse individuals.
A proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable approach to work.
