UPM TTBDO, is an office under the Vice Chancellor for Research, in charge of managing technologies developed at the University of the Philippines Manila. Our portfolio consists of health technologies in health and wellness, digital health and ICT, diagnostics, therapeutics, medical devices, vaccines, cosmetics, and others.
YOUR ROLE
Administrative Services Officer
An Administrative Services Officer shall manage administrative tasks and financial office transactions. It is expected that the candidate has good communication skills. He/she should be able to think critically when there are matters that needs legal protection.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
✔Bachelor's degree graduate relevant to the job
✔Preferably more than 2 years experience specialized in Administration, Finance or equivalent
✔Civil Service passer is a plus but not required
YOUR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As Administrative Services Officer, you will:
✔Do all administrative and office support activities for the Intellectual Property and Technology Licensing Office;
✔Assists in the evaluation of licensing and technology transfer applications for approval or denial;
✔Assists in processing and monitoring of licensing and technology transfer applications;
✔Assists in the processing, evaluation, and monitoring of University R & D projects with existing and potential intellectual property rights, including patents, utility model, trademark, industrial design and trade secrets/ know-how;
✔Maintains a filing system and databases for all files, papers and documents in the processing, evaluation, and monitoring of licensing and technology transfer applications, assignments, renewals and related transactions;
✔Prepares and processes reports, papers, vouchers, and documents necessary and requisite in the protection and enforcement of the intellectual properties of the University, including licensing and technology transfer applications and transactions;
✔Organizes, arranges, confirms and coordinates public biddings, meetings, conferences, seminars, forums, travel arrangements, and other related schedules with both private and public institutions and individuals regarding licensing and technology transfer applications, IP management and the like;
✔Gives assistance during meetings, taking and distributing minutes of meeting;
✔Monitors and maintains financial records and reports regarding the receipt and distribution of royalties and related financial transactions on the licensing of the University's intellectual properties;

Performs other tasks and duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Director.
