We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Document Processor . In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accurate and efficient handling of shipping documentation. Key Responsibilities:
 
Importation Documentation Handling:
Prepare, review, and process all importation documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
Ensure that all documentation complies with international trade regulations and company policies.
Verify the accuracy of documentation and resolve any discrepancies or issues before shipment.
Coordination with Stakeholders:
Liaise with shipping companies, customs brokers, and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate handling of shipments.
Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., logistics, finance) to ensure seamless processing and delivery of imported goods.
Facilitate communication between stakeholders to address and resolve any issues related to documentation or shipments.
Customs Compliance:
Ensure compliance with local and international customs regulations and requirements.
Assist with customs clearance processes, including the preparation of necessary paperwork and coordination with customs authorities.
Documentation Management:
Maintain and organize records of all importation documents, ensuring that they are easily accessible and accurately filed.
Implement and follow procedures for document retention and retrieval to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for improving documentation and processing workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Propose and implement changes to streamline documentation processes and reduce turnaround times.
Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare reports on importation activities, including documentation status, shipment delays, and compliance issues.
Analyze documentation and process performance to provide insights and recommendations for improvements.
Customer Service:
Provide support to internal and external customers regarding importation documentation and procedures.
Address and resolve any inquiries or issues related to importation documentation in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Proven experience in handling importation documentation and processes.
Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and document management systems.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and coordination abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Knowledge of import/export procedures and documentation requirements.
