Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities will be:
Budget & Planning
Data gathering and preparation for the planning process.
Quarterly updating and maintenance of planning files.
ACGL Reporting - Data gathering and preparation of monthly/quarterly management reports
Quarterly reports to the Arch's parent company ACGL
Monthly and quarterly price monitoring reports
Ceded Re
Gather and maintain ceded loss ratios by treaty, BU/Sub-BU, and GPC for use in the planning process.
Maintain QS expense monitoring file.
Ceded Experience report - maintain existing process and assist in adding additional treaties as needed.
Required Skills/Experience
Enthusiasm to learn and develop analytical, statistical, IT and communication skills.
Ability to capture, organize, analyze and statistically model data, interpret trends and produce results.
Excellent communication and team working skills.
Strong personal skills, well organized and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets (Excel, etc.)
Knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects, etc.) and databases (SQL, etc.)
Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
Knowledge of using programing languages (VBA, Python, R)
Desire to learn Actuarial skills including Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) membership
Education
BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Information Management or Statistics
