ROLE SUMMARY
Our client is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist who will be responsible for the financial and clerical support of the company. You will oversee payments owed by the company to suppliers and other creditors, paying vendor invoices and bills, and recording the company's short-term debts. This role is vital for the smooth functioning of the company. The Accounts Payable Specialist must apply accounting principles and handle work that is analytical, evaluative, and advisory in nature and requires an understanding of both accounting theory and practice. This position is expected to have the ability to pay attention to detail and enter a high volume of data.
The Accounts Payable Specialist position will be classified in the accounting department and report to the Controller. The ideal candidate is reliable, communicative, quick, thorough, detailed, dedicated, passionate, and goal-driven, with a sense of urgency and desire to be part of a collaborative team.
SCHEDULE: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Pacific Standard Time (1:00 AM - 10:00 AM Philippine Standard Time), follows Philippine holidays

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform daily bookkeeping and record keeping, financial reporting, and the preparation of tax records for financial audits
Supports accounting with responsibility for ensuring accuracy with all invoices and billing while upholding accounting standards
Manage accounts payable using accounting software and other programs
Handle accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
Analyze workflow processes
Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors
Ensure bills and payroll are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
Process due invoices for payments
Compare purchase orders, prices, terms of payment, and other charges
Process transactions and perform accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries, and reconciling books of accounts
QUALIFICATIONS
College degree or trade school in a relevant field
Work experience in accounts payable is preferred
Construction industry experience
Competency with QuickBooks and familiarity with Plexxis software
Proficiency in computer programs and Microsoft Excel
Effective time management and planning skills with the ability to consistently meet deadlines
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
Strong organizational skills and data entry skills
Keen attention to detail and proven analytical ability
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work both independently and in team settings
