Job Description (Role Profile)
JOB SUMMARY
As the APAC AP MANAGER, you will be a key member of Avid's Finance and Accounting team. Role will allow you to be involved with weekly cash flow forecast, monthly and quarterly close activities including reconciling, consolidating and preparing financial statements as required. You will exhibit a strong work ethic, positive "can-do" attitude, and ability to meet internal and external deadlines. This APAC AP MANAGER role will report to the APAC Controller.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Oversee accounts payable process, ensuring compliance with accounting guidance, company policies, and regulatory requirements
Develop and maintain departmental systems and procedures
Develop, document, maintain, and perform necessary controls over departmental operations
Initiate changes to improve departmental operations and controls
Recruit, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function
Review policies and procedures of the Accounts Payable Department and implementing process improvements
Provide the Treasury department with payment run funding requests and forecasts of future payment runs
Ensure disbursement policies and procedures are followed (controls, documentation, authorization)
Work closely with other departments to resolve invoice, purchase order and receiving issues.
Review Accounts Payable reports and checks registers on a daily basis.
Manage vendor and internal stakeholders relationships
Perform ad-hoc analysis and other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Proficiency in MS Office, including the ability to operate computerized accounting and spreadsheet programs
5-7 years' experience in a corporate setting working for a global-centric company
2 years of management experience
Demonstrated experience with SAP, preferred
Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards and compliance requirements
Ability to work in fast-paced, globally distributed environment
Work may extend beyond normal business hours as business needs dictate
Strong problem solving, analytical skills and detailed oriented
Ability to work alternating work shifts to support a global work environment
Ability to work independently and within various teams
Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
