Odfjell Drilling Philippines (ODP) is a Global Business Services (GBS) hub, serving other Odfjell Drilling group of companies worldwide. We are looking for a service minded and positive accounting professionals who can contribute to strengthening our GBS Finance organization. The majority of the Accountant's task is to process end-to-end accounts payable supporting our EMEA and APAC regions. The position will also be responsible in accounts reconciliation and accruals.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for end to end Account Payable process which includes but not limited to:
Matching of invoices to Goods receipt on Purchase Orders
Distribute invoices for coding and authorization
Posting of authorized invoices Prepares supplier invoices payments
Follow-up on discrepancies in matching, and on missing goods receipt
Posting of customer payments and reconciliation of Accounts Receivable
Responsible for the following Reconciliation:
Interim Accounts Payable not yet invoiced
Balance Sheet reconciliation
Intercompany reconciliation
Bank reconciliations
Participate in month end reporting procedures which may include accruals
Play an active role on continued improvement in our work processes
May perform other related tasks that may be required from time to time
Qualifications and Skills
Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or any related field
With two(2) years of accounting experience and skills within accounting processes and ERP systems is an advantage but fresh graduates are welcome to apply
Experience working in a multicultural environment or shared services is an advantage
Has working knowledge and professional experience within relevant ERP, IT software and systems supporting the company's accounting processes is an advantage
Proficient in Microsoft Office with particular focus on MS Excel skills
Has the ability to take initiative and can make sound judgement within applicable scope, procedures and guidelines
Has the ability to work independently as well as in a cross functional teams
Has good analytical and problem solving skills Structured, accurate, systematic and committed to deliver within deadlines
Has excellent communication skills
Motivated to facilitate and contribute to the company's growth
