Accounts Payable Accountant will be responsible in performing various activities for accounts payable transaction and accounting related task to ensure accurate, on time and efficient operation of the department. Directly reporting to Country Finance Manager.
Duties and responsibilities
Check, validate, analyze and process supplier billings/invoices and employee expense claims for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment processing. Ensure that processes were followed.
Match invoices with purchase orders (where applicable), and evidence of receipt of goods or services.
Review and ensure all invoices processed and matched for payment in accordance with agreed payment terms.
Reconciliation of vendor billings or statement of accounts.
Responds to external vendor/supplier inquiries and internal employees.
Prepares and posting of accounts payable entries to SBO.
Monitors and prepares various analysis and reports relating to the accounts payable transactions.
Responsible in creating and maintenance/updating of Vendor Master Data in the system (online or offline).
Responsible of maintaining and reconciling the accounts payable/vendor account in the system.
Prepares various schedules needed as support to government taxes.
Assists in the annual/interim audit by the external or internal auditors.
Scan complete set of documents and originals are properly filed/archived.
Helps in maintaining proper filing of other accounting documents and records.
Performs other related tasks/duties and projects as assigned by management from time to time.
Qualifications:
Candidate must be a graduate of bachelor's degree in accounting/finance.
Certified Public Accountant is an Advantage.
Experience Water Treatment
Minimum of three (3) years work experience in accounting and other related activities specifically in Accounts Payable area.
Strong background in general accounting, taxation, and other government reportorial requirements.
Preferably have an experience in any computerized accounting system and proficient in MS office applications.
Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
Good communication and interpersonal skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
