l Oversees the daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations.
l Appoints and trains new accounting employees.
l Prepares monthly and annual accounting reports.
l Carries out the annual audit by giving information and answers to auditors.
l Checks accuracy/timely submission/timely payment to BIR, Municipal Treasurers, SEC and other government agencies.
l Checks the progress of accounting and financial objectives.
l Makes policies and procedures to support the company's targets.
l Keeps sensitive and important information confidential and ensure financial security.
l Analyzes financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting practices.
l Provides regular updates to management regarding company finances.
l Establishes and enforces proper accounting methods, policies and principles.
l Provides recommendations.
l Improves systems and procedures and initiates corrective actions.
l Coordinates, reviews and updates existing accounting policies and procedures.
l Assigns projects and directs staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
l Meets financial accounting objectives.
l Other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
