QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent Accounting certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) is a plus
With 2-3 year's work experience as an Accounting Supervisor
Experience with accounting software
Strong computer skills, MS Excel in particular (managing spreadsheets, creating charts and using advanced formulas)
Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws and regulations
Excellent analytical skills to manage large amounts of data
Attention to detail and accuracy
Team management skills
Ability to prioritize work
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Accomplishes accounting human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
Oversee daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations
Contribute financial data to business plans, strategic plans and reviews as necessary to ensure they meet accounting operational standards
Participate in regular tax audits and payroll
Prepare quarterly and annual accounting reports
Develop and monitor budget information for the accounting department; track expenditures and variances, and take corrective measures as needed
Prepare budgeting reports and forecast revenues
Verify check amounts against invoices, and authorize checks and wire transfers to approve cash disbursements
Audit transactions to approve ledger entries
Manage month-end and year-end closing
Monitor the daily performance of the accounting department
Supports annual audit by providing information and answers to auditors.
Keep sensitive information confidential, and follow internal measures for financial security
Identify ways to streamline accounting operations and ways to improve the department
Organize financial data into usable information and maintain updated records
Track the progress of financial and accounting objectives
Establish accounting policies and procedures, aligned with company's targets
Ensure compliance with the law
Other tasks assigned as defined necessary by the Management
