Job Description
The Accounting Officer will assist the overall operations of the Finance Department which includes, but not limited to, management of Cash, Receivable, Inventory, Accounts Payable and Treasury operations. Assists in the development and maintenance of accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. Assists the Finance Manager in managing the team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner, deadlines and multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities are met.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, preferably a Certified Public Accountant.
With at least 3 years supervisory/officer level experience in financial reporting, tax, general and cost accounting.
Preferably with background in a distribution, manufacturing or FMCG industry.
Must have knowledge in financial statement analysis, financial indicators, and personal and associated software applications.
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be assertive, confident and dynamic.
Must have proficient computer skills
