Job Summary
Assists in managing the operational activities of the Accounting Section involving, but not limited to financial reporting, accounts payable management, and fixed assets management. S/he ensures effective utilization and administration of manpower and material resources within his/her jurisdiction.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Provides timely, accurate, complete and relevant financial information that serves as a tool for management decision-making, and complies with applicable laws, regulations and sound business practices.
Reviews and approves general journals, adjusting entries, accounting schedules, and other financial reports.
Handles dealings with external auditors in coordination with the Controller and Chief Finance Officer.
Maintains an effective and efficient fixed assets management system that accurately and timely captures all fixed assets movements.
Maintains an effective and efficient payables processing system that ensures timely and accurate processing of valid payment requests.
Computes corporate income tax due and prepares corresponding returns for filing with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
Assists the Finance Supervisor during BIR audits and in resolving tax issues by providing required audit schedules and technical support/analyses.
Performs related functions as required from time to time.
Qualifications
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field
Preferably with experience in the mall and/or cinema industry
