Reconciliation
Reconcile bank accounts of various OSM Companies and affiliates.
Reconcile recoverable accounts on a monthly basis to ensure timely invoicing of recoverable to the customers.
Reconcile intercompany accounts as required by management.
Reconcile other assets and liability accounts such as but not limited to 17350, 22939.
Reconcile supplier accounts as required by management.
Reconcile vessel accounts.
Monitor unresolved floating item in reconciliation and coordinate with the person concerned until the item is closed.
Book adjusting entries to close reconciling items.
Consolidate vessel accounts reconciliation on a monthly basis for submission to top management in Norway.
Reporting and Compliance
Monitor gaps and misses and prepare a monthly summary for FAG meeting.
Update vessel accounts and analyze the reason for variances in time for the preparation of monthly reports to management.
Compute the AMOSUP contributions per vessel depending on the CBA based on the sign on/off report of crew and advise Treasury for payment.
Submit the required report to AMOSUP on a monthly basis and answer queries if there are such.
Other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
General Functions
Monitor and answer email messages, calls or queries related to issues concerning assigned tasks.
Assist and perform other duties that may be assigned and required from time to time
Required Competencies
1 to 2 year experience in general accounting
BS Accountancy graduate or any related accounting course
CPA and/or with audit experience is an advantage
Computer literate
Ability to analyze financial data, recognize errors and implement corrections
Must possess good written and oral communication skills
Must be well organized and self-starter
Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
Has initiative, able to work with minimum supervision and meet deadlines
