The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial health of MeRISE. This role involves recording and interpreting financial data to support management in making informed financial decisions. The Accounting Manager ensures the timely and accurate recording of all transactions, summarizes financial information for monthly board reports, manages cash flow, and coordinates with financial institutions and government offices.
Key responsibilities:
Analyzes financial data and generates regular financial reports to senior management, highlighting trends and variances. - included in FCO Accountants' proposal. Monthly reports will be based after the monthly audit of QBO entries and physical receipts
Develops and maintains financial models to support business decision-making.
Monitors and reports on budget performance, identifying and addressing any deviations.
Files and maintains accounting records to include but not limited to journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
Ensures on time month-end and year-end closing of books and produces financial reports in accordance with PFRS and other government agencies' reportorial requirements; ready for external audit. FCO Accountants can handle the financial reports for government agencies (SEC, BIR, City Hall) but AM will handle the monthly and annual closing of internal books (QBO)
Leads and mentors the accounting/finance team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
Collaborates with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies.
Identifies opportunities for cost savings, revenue growth, and process improvements.
Ensures compliance with relevant government regulations and standards. included in FCO Accountants' proposal but AM needs to work closely with FCO's team
Implements and maintains strong internal controls and risk management practices.
Coordinates and participates in financial audits as needed.
Manages relationships with banks and financial institutions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or Finance.
Advanced proficiency in using QuickBooks.
At least 3 years of experience in a relevant role.
Proven experience in complete cycle accounting, preparation of financial reports, end-to-end payroll processing, statutory filings of government regulatory bodies (SEC, BIR, etc.)
Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial data.
Strong interpersonal, analytical, communication, and presentation skills
Ability to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
Can work ONSITE(Office-based)
