Job Duties/Responsibilities:
▪ Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
▪ Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships.
▪ Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
▪ Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
▪ Ensures compliance with government requirements. Assess current practices and procedures and make recommendations for improvements.
▪ Evaluating, developing, and improving department controls, systems, and procedures that increase accuracy and efficiency.
▪ Overseeing the daily activities of the accounting department and ensuring that all major projects, month-end, mid-year, and year-end reports are completed accurately and on time.
▪ Maintaining accurate and complete financial records and participating in audits or reconciliations, as needed.
▪ Keeping informed about the latest developments in the accounting or finance industry.
▪ Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Job Qualifications
▪ Candidate must be a graduate of BS Accountancy and must be a Certified Public Accountant. ▪ At least five (5) years of solid experience in the same industry is preferred. ▪ Exhibit excellent leadership and communication skills.
▪ Strong understanding of accounting, finance, and management principles. ▪ Attention to detail and the ability to analyse large amounts of data.
▪ Ablity to perform multiple tasks, delegate duties and manage a team effectively.
