JOB SUMMARY:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for the group of companies' overall financial closing process, general accounting and financial reporting to management and regulatory agencies.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversees the daily accounting activities required to maintain the Companies' books of accounts;
Ensures the closing process of the financial statement and coordinates the closing activities with other departments;
Prepares and submits financial statements and other financial reports for the use of internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory filings with SEC and PSE, within the set deadlines;
Performs financial analysis on account balance and variance analysis on account movements;
Oversees preparation of monthly accounting schedules;
Supervises, directs, and reviews the work of the accounting staff;
Processes Adjustment Advice, Credit Memos and Debit Memos relating to real estate sales;
Maintains organized set of detailed records and files to document financial transactions;
Resolves complex accounting issues or assists other members of the Company in resolving financial issues;
Makes and implements recommendations to improve accounting processes and financial reporting procedures; and
Performs other duties as assigned or required
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have experience in regulatory filings for publicly-listed company;
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or with prior experience in a managerial role;
At least 5 years' extensive experience, preferably in a real estate company;
Strong understanding of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards is a must;
Knowledgeable in using computerized accounting system, preferably SAP;
Proficient in basic MS application and tools;
Ability to handle work pressure;
Ability to deal effectively with internal and external personnel;
Keen to details and has a good sense of responsibility;
Willing to work beyond office hours when needed; and
Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial information.
