Qualifications:
Certified Public Accountant
With at least 8 years' experience in accounting preferably in the same industry
With experience in all areas of accounting
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Approves vouchers and adjustments on the limits specified by the Manual on Signing Authority or as maybe authorized by the Finance Comptroller;
Sees to it that all bills, payment requests, transactions and vouchers are processed on time and ensure that all expenses for the month be booked and recorded within the month;
Sees to it that all accounting entries are in accordance with the generally accepted accounting principles/Philippine Accounting Standards and that all accounts are properly posted according to company's chart of accounts, cost centers and accounting policies;
Reviews and supervises the preparation of the General and Subsidiary Ledgers, verifies Accounts Payable Voucher daily and review entries on the month-end journal vouchers;
Reviews and approves bank reconciliation and other balance sheet accounts;
Ensures payroll are processed on time and credited to the accounts of the employees as scheduled;
Ensures taxes are accurately computed and remitted based on the approved tax plan;
Manages the closing of books monthly and ensures that all accruals, adjustments and other transactions are booked and posted;
Prepares analysis of financial statements in a method requested by top management;
Ensures compliance and submission of reports to SEC & BIR before its deadline;
Coordinates with the external auditors during interim and annual audit;
Supervises preparation of periodic and annual reports for government regulatory authority;
Responsible for the renewal of business permits and registration of book of accounts;
Manages staff in the preparation of the monthly bank reconciliation and the reconciliation of the inter-company accounts.
Administers personnel functions of accounting division, such as training, work scheduling, promotions, transfers, and performance ratings.
Reports regularly to Finance Comptroller on the Financial status of the company and the affairs of the Division; the problems encountered and solutions made; and support activities of the Finance & Accounting Department; and
Ensure QMS related to the position will be implemented and strictly monitored.
