Description:
The Accounting Manager (Group Accountant) oversees all day-to-day activities of the general accounting department, the department responsible for the company's financial statements, taxes, accounts receivables and accounts payables. He / She will supervise the accounting managers and staff and their activities. He / She is expected to collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director on creating frameworks and policies that will improve the overall financial health of the company.
Requirements:
BS Accountancy Graduate
At least 5 years experience as Head of Accounting in a fast paced, dynamic industry
Well-versed in all accounting facets with good analytical, math and problem solving skills
Strong leadership/supervisory and people skills
Highly detailed oriented, organized and proactive
Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines and work under pressure
Can work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees
Familiarity with accounting software and programs
Strong communication skills (written and oral) and computer skills (Microsoft Excel)
Knowledgeable with Taxation, Financial Reporting Standards, Auditing Standards etc
Willing to commute to Makati City
Speaks English very well
Preferred but not required:
CPA
Experience in food / hotel industry is beneficial
Experience in SAGE, Aries or SAP is beneficial
Job Description:
Manages day to day operations in Accounting Department
Oversees and assists accounting staff complete their work accurately and on time
Ensures submission of accurate and timely financial reports and all related schedules
Consolidates financial reports and other reports required by management
Analyzes financial statements and reports unusual variances/fluctuations to management
Implements internal policies and procedures to ensure integrity of financial data
Ensures that proper records and controls are in place to safeguard company's assets
Responsible for maintenance and implementation of changes/improvements in accounting system
Ensures regulatory requirements are complied with but not limited to such as BIR, government mandated remittances, etc
Collaborates with Managing Director and CFO to improve the company's financial health
Assists CFO with taxation and auditing requirements
Trains, motivates and mentors accounting staff and creates a positive department culture
Others assigned by Managing Director and CFO
