Job Summary:
Responsible for providing accounting support to accounting supervisor within the department. Keys daily worksheets to the general ledger system, ensures files are complete and maintained as needed, handles accounts payable duties, and assists accounting personnel.
SCOPE OF ROLE:
Perform a variety of responsible clerical accounting and financial office support duties in support of assigned accounting system, function or program area including in the areas of utility billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, business licenses, revenue collection and cash management.
Perform accounting and clerical functions to support supervisors.
Research, track, and resolve accounting problems.
Compile and sort invoices and checks.
Issue checks for accounts payable.
Record business transactions and key daily worksheets to the general ledger system.
Input vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records.
File and tally deposits.
Work with adding machines, calculators, databases and bank accounts.
Match invoices to work orders.
Process bills for payment.
Arrange for money to be delivered to bank.
Utilize computer systems to run databases, pay bills and order supplies.
Contact individuals with delinquent accounts.
Ensure customers accept payments or refunds.
Maintain records, prepare reports and compose correspondence relative to work.
Observe company policies and personal hygiene.
Competencies and Skills:
Must be able to perform mathematical calculations accurately.
Ability to determine appropriate course of action in more complex situation.
Ability to work independently, be keen to detail and maintain a positive attitude.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of all medical, financial ad legal information.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Accountancy, with or without experience
Amenable to work in Quezon City
Willing to undergo medical clearance
Can start ASAP
