Job Description
What we are looking for:
Proficient in accounting, with a strong understanding of journal entries and US accounting principles
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred experience in creating and analyzing financial statements
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Attention to detail and proficiency in record-keeping
Ability to quickly learn new processes and technical platforms to meet client-specific requirements
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
Hands-on approach to work with a keen eye for detail-oriented tasks
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey issues to all levels of management with clarity and diplomacy
Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or a related field
Professional certification is preferred but not required
At least one or more years of working experience in a related field
What you need to do:
Able to perform responsibilities associated with a Junior Accounting Associate and/or an Accounting Associate role
Performs the work as assigned which includes but is not limited to:
Recording day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting process
Verifying that transactions are accurately recorded in the appropriate ledger
Reconciling company accounts
Preparing month-end close and ad hoc journal entries
Executing daily and monthly financial and accounting transactions using the general ledger system
Generating standard management accounts (Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, etc.)
Producing reports and training templates effectively and completing daily client work
Executing monthly analysis and reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, analyzing financial information, preparing reports, and ensuring accuracy
Reviewing work through validation and approving the work of others
Collaborates with other team members to deliver exceptional client service consistent with our philosophy.
Communicates effectively with team members at different levels of the organization when needed, maintains confidentiality, and represents the face of Good Egg BPO client service
They can readily jump in and assist when a team member is absent or falls behind on tasks within the same client team
They can work independently on all tasks with minimum supervision
Acts as a mentor for incoming new hires, providing guidance and support as they acclimate to their roles
Possesses a robust command of any accounting software, including its features and integration with other software applications
Communicates directly with clients, demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills
Review bank transactions and complete bank reconciliations quickly and accurately
Create transferable and understandable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Manage emails and real-time issue resolution
Review vendor statements and contact vendors to resolve issues both by phone and email
Utilize all available resources before asking redundant questions
Ensure a strong understanding of journal entries, accounting principles, and accounts payable processes
Logging all daily activities in the company-specified time tracking or project management tool to ensure that all hours are accurately recorded
