As an Accounting Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial integrity of the organization. Responsibilities:
Bank Reconciliation and Financial Balance:
Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
Balance financial records to maintain an up-to-date and accurate financial status.
Accounts Receivable Support:
Assist in cash application processes to ensure timely and accurate allocation of funds.
Reconcile accounts receivable to maintain accuracy in customer accounts.
Sales Commission Calculation:
Assist in calculating commissions for sales representatives, ensuring accuracy and fairness.
Month-end and Year-end Closing:
Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial activities are properly documented and closed.
Accounts Payable and Receivable Assistance:
Provide assistance to the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams as needed to maintain efficient operations.
Financial Transaction Recording:
Maintain the general ledger by recording journal entries and accurately documenting all company financial transactions.
Inventory Management:
Set up item files and update pricing, ensuring accurate inventory adjustments.
Report Generation:
Generate and prepare reports in Excel format as required, assisting in providing insights into financial data.
Project Support:
Collaborate with management on various projects, offering your financial expertise as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in accounting or 5+ years of experience.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, including Vlookups and pivot tables.
Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality regarding company accounts.
High accuracy level.
Able to complete work with little direct supervision.
Driven, self-motivated, and goal oriented.
Strong critical thinking and mathematical reasoning skills
