Accounting Assistant support the accounting deparment with their day-to-day functions by performing entry-level accounting duties. The primary work focus for accounting assistants is on accounts receivable and accounts payable. In addition, they help with collections, billing, audits, and journal entries.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Assist Accountants and other financial professionals with creating and editing financial documents
Organize the bookkeeping processes of the company
Evaluate financial budgets and track expenses
Draft and report financial presentations
Reconcile financial books including incoming and outgoing funds.
Support duties related to accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Analyze financial information in order to identify discrepencies
Research and resolve discrepancies in a timely fashion
Maintain confidentiality of all financial data
Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards
Compile and prepare routine reports and summaries
At minimum, an Associate's degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, or similar field. Bachelor's degree preferred.
1-3 years of relevant, hands-on accounting experience, AR Accounting
Knowledgeable in the Accounting Software - NAV experience is an advantage
Proficient to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently on assigned duties
Demonstrates an ability to manage a variety of priorities while meeting deadlines
WORK LOCATION:
Candidates must be willing to be assigned to the Head Office in Magallanes, Makati
