The Accounting Assistant role is instrumental in building the integrity of the financial information of the company and the group as a whole. As part of the Finance Team, you'll primarily be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the company's financials. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will work together to safe-keep the company's assets and maintain accounting controls.
Your role:
Support bi-weekly payrolls to ensure timely and accurate payment of salaries
Processing transactions, issuing checks, updating ledger, budgets and etc
Ensure proper entries for fixed asset purchases, depreciation and write-off
Maintain fixed asset register
Responsible for reclassification or capitalisation into an asset or expense
Aid the HR and Admin function on tagging company assets
Perform Inventory count at least twice a year
Responsible for journal entries on accrued expenses, revenue and prepayment accounts
Creation of monthly account schedules
Assist in monitoring and preparing compliance requirements to all government agencies
Other task to support Accounting Department
Your skills and qualifications:
The successful candidate must possess:
A Bachelor's/College Degree in Finance/Accountancy
Associate degree in Accounting or equivalent
Have experience working in a private company environment across multiple teams
Highly organised with the ability to work within set deadlines
It would also be advantageous if you can demonstrate:
Knowledge of Philippines Financial Reporting Standards
Have experience in payroll related activities such as payroll calculations and compliance in different government agencies.
Experience in a fast paced, dynamic startup environment
